Do you realize that
had Swannanoa voted to become incorporated on November 3rd, 2009 our
community would have been charged with road snow removal during the
December 2009 and January 2010 storms and ultimately would have had
to either hire a private contractor for snow removal or would have
had to pay the state for the what we are already paying for? In
either case this expenditure would have further burdened a tax base
that was already grossly over estimated by those pursuing
incorporation.
Incorporation would have already opened the door for future tax
increases for services we already receive from the state.
